Day 3 of our long journey start off after some brunch at the Wisma Merdeka(if I'm not mistaken) at KK. Again, we have to endured a leading to the sky, curvy, steep hill road. The weather is a bit better than yesterday. After a few hours, we stopped at a rest stop on top of a hill while absorbing in all the beautiful nature that surrounds us. The air is so fresh too.
Mr Lawrence and Miss Valarie staring at the endless sky and green hills, appreciating the creation of God.
After a few hours drive, we reached Keningau, Mr Lawrence's hometown. Spent an hour or so, having a drink and set off to the next town, Tenom.
Mr Leonard, that's me, in front of the gateway of Sabah Agriculture Park, Tenom. By the time we arrived, it's already closed. So, just took some photos outside then.
The pioneer of future agriculture. Bringing the food to your tables.
We reached Tenom around 5.15pm, we're all desperately searching for a public restroom. Thank god, we found Petronas Gas Station here at Tenom as the other public restroom are either closed or out of service.
At around 6pm, , the skies are already pitch black and our driver, Mr Lawrence badly in need of a rest. So, I take the wheels for an incredible experience driving at very steep and lonely road, perhaps the heaviest rain I've ever experienced in my life, and I can barely see the road up ahead. It's very dangerous so I drive at the rate of maybe only 50km/h as I don't want anything bad happen to all my friends :). We arrived safely at Sipitang at around 8pm and we can't find a single place for accommodation. All of the hotels were full so we decided to spend the night sleeping at the Sipitang Hospital. Yes, you better believe it. There's no one there too. Me and Mr. Faiq were looking for the toilet and the only available one is beside the mortuary(rumah mayat). Nope, I'm not going there. Haha~ After some discussions and sleepless hour, we decided to continue our journey to Beaufort that particular night. We were planning to go to Limbang the next day from Sipitang but had to cancel that. Arrived at Beaufort around 12am and get some rest.
That was one of the most unforgettable day of my life. Great adventure, great obstacle, tough weather, tiring day and as you can see, we didn't have time even to take some pictures. Well, actually everyone was not in the mood for photos after that bumpy ride and tough day. But we managed to endure the day, that's the most important part. It's all about teamwork, yeah~
